Entry 7

Dusk

It would seem Jon hunted some more of the Geckos littered around Castle Vania this morning. Apparently while Jon and Yumi were out hunting and attempting to tame them respectively, they managed to enrage the geckos. How do you enrage a tiny little gecko enough that they start to attack you? I can imagine the sight now. Two fully grown adult humans trying to fight off two tiny, yet vicious, geckos. Can you imagine if they had lost?

With all that excitement done and over with, I think I’ll have a quick meal before I go and sort through what remains of our supplies.

Midnight

I amaze even myself sometimes. I built what appears to be a functional A/C unit to help keep our food fresh! The last thing I want is to lose what little provisions we have left. The packaged meals should last some time in this heat, but whatever fresh food we get would surely rot in no time at all. I can’t take all the credit for this one though, it was Yumi’s idea. I hope my work will be up to her standards.

I think I’m going to play a bit of horseshoes and then begin planting some more of the haygrass. I hope Geckos will eat the stuff.

Morning

I was able to finish up the field of haygrass. Only took a few hours, or at least it didn’t feel longer than a few. Left me plenty of time to go see what else we needed to get done around here. Sadly it seems the largest task is still wood, and that problem has no solution for the time being.

I guess I’ll play another round of horseshoes. I’m still incredibly grateful to have something to do, but this is beginning to get a bit old. We need some more variety in things to do.
